I have worked with Chelsea for over five years. Why has our relationship lasted? Because I see results! I consider myself a fairly demanding customer and know when a trainer knows her stuff. I am always amazed to this day how much Chelsea knows about so many different modalities and tools. We started together working kettlebells, but over the years have expanded into Olympic lifting, flexibility and mobility, plyometrics- you name it. What I appreciate is that she makes me better at the stuff I want to do, and forces me to do the stuff I need to do.
More than anything, though, she makes me feel glad I came every time. She has such a wonderful positive energy around her that, no matter how tired or stressed I am feeling, she can make me smile (even when I’m sweating). She has wisdom far beyond her years, and really puts the important things in perspective. I’m grateful to call Chelsea my trainer and friend!
Chelsea has completely changed the way I approach fitness and nutrition in my life! Before Chelsea, I always enjoyed working out and keeping active, but I never saw change or results no matter how hard I tried. She helped me incorporate strength training and a variety of other workouts into my routine, always mixing it up. She also guided me in the right direction in terms of my nutrition. Putting the workouts and nutrition together, she helped me get into tip-top shape for my wedding and honeymoon! Chelsea is very passionate about fitness and nutrition, and it shows. I continue to love working out with Chelsea because she’s a constant reminder of how I’ve changed my lifestyle for the better, and always encourages me to keep improving! My friends and family see the results too, and even refer to my results as the “BC” (Before Chelsea) and the “AC” (After Chelsea) periods.
When I started training with Chelsea, I was a type 2 diabetic with heavily medicated hypertension and gout. At 245 pounds of fat with no muscle to speak of, anything even remotely cardiovascular was a chore. My goal was clear; I wanted off my medications. Nearly 2 years later, I am no longer diabetic, have normal blood pressure, and am gout and medication free! I’ve put on more than 30 pounds of muscle that simply didn’t exist before. The fact that I can now do pull-ups, bench 250lbs, squat 300+lbs and deadlift 400+lbs continues to amaze me. I am grateful to Chelsea for putting tremendous effort into creating a program and dietary philosophy that would allow me to succeed.
More than anything, Chelsea helped me change my mindset. I am now a believer in myself. If you’re looking to make a change, to push yourself, to go somewhere in personal fitness that you’ve been afraid to go, I can’t recommend Chelsea enough. She is the real deal. I now have the life I want to live, the opportunity to live it longer and a newfound confidence that I’ve never had before.

I come from a competitive sports background that had left me seriously injured and hesitant to get back into a strenuous fitness program. When I met Chelsea, she immediately showed she was different than most coaches or trainers I had worked with in the past. She took detailed notes on all of my injuries (there were many) and developed a training program to help me achieve my performance goals, and address my weakness I had developed from those injuries. She regularly mixes up our program, keeping it fun and always challenging. There are no days off with Chelsea. She takes her job incredibly seriously and that dedication really shows in every session. I think she gets more excited than I do when I hit a personal best or am able to do an exercise I was unable to do before. On top of all of that, she is a genuine, caring person with a great personality who is fun to be around. I can't recommend Chelsea enough and I think anyone who has one session will be hooked.

I’ve had a number of great personal trainers over the years but Chelsea is in a class by herself. First, she is passionate about what she does and her enthusiasm rubs off on anyone she trains. She has a program and strategy in place to improve my flexibility, balance, and strength and switches things up regularly so I never get bored. She is tough and has an amazing way of getting me to push myself. Chelsea is extremely knowledgeable about anatomy and proper form. I highly recommend Chelsea – she is the best!
Working with Chelsea and Athaya Fitness has been nothing short of empowering & inspiring. From day one, I noticed she had a particularly keen ability to understand her clients — be it their gate, their stance, where they hold tension, or their emotional tendencies, Chelsea is an astute observer. I was immediately impressed with her attention to detail, and with her passion for efficiency. I came to Chelsea with the goal of feeling stronger and less intimidated by strength training. Through working with her, I've developed a love for Olympic Lifting, and a determination to continue to study what I now understand to very technical movements. It's been incredible to see my goals become a reality through her guidance. She is supportive but knows how to not hold your hand. She is encouraging but also knows when to push you beyond your perceived limits. Chelsea is a strong and empowering person to be around, and I feel fortunate to call her my trainer and friend. Athaya Fitness is life changing.
I have been working with Chelsea for about 3 years and for the first time in my life I enjoy working out. This shift is due to Chelsea's positive attitude, fun (yes fun) and varied workouts, and the most important reason, results! Now that I have two children ages 3 & 6 months, my time has become exponentially more valuable. Personal time has to be both enjoyable and worth it - working out with Chelsea is both of those. After the birth of my first child, Chelsea worked diligently with me to not only "get my body back" but pushed me to achieve a level of strength I had never known. Coming from this improved place of strength along with Chelsea's custom-tailored programs, I was able to continue to work out throughout my entire second pregnancy. I experienced improved sleep, better energy levels, and fewer pregnancy-related aches and pains, not to mention a much easier birth experience than with my first child. Since giving birth to my second child, I have not only bounced back much faster, but also feel I am more toned, fit, stronger, and healthier than I have ever been.
Chelsea has helped my general health, overall strength and fitness to a very significant degree. Her classes are focused but varied and fun, while her recommendations for diet and exercise away from class are insightful and achievable. This combination of expertise on the one hand, and encouragement towards a consistent lifestyle on the other, has improved my physical well being enormously.
Chelsea is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainer, with a great understanding of how the human body works. When I was suffering from an injury that had persisted for more than a year, Chelsea recommended a physical therapist and worked closely with that therapist to design a program to restore my mobility. Now cured, Chelsea leads me through interesting and varied exercises to rebuild my strength. And throughout, she is always positive, always encouraging. I really look forward to seeing her every week both as a trainer and as a person.
